Welcome to the Dove Direct Print and Marketing Blog. Today's post, "Celebrating American Democracy," speaks to the historic election underway in America. Throughout this week, we can expect the country to count ballots that will determine the next president. While we may not know the results for a few days or weeks, we know that our democracy is alive and well. We know this because we have seen that a record number of early votes have been cast through absentee ballots, mail-in ballots, and early voting.
On Tuesday, the remaining voters will cast their ballots. As we vote for the presidential tickets and other candidates down the ballot at the federal, state, and local levels, we see what can only be referenced as a historic election. Not only because of the election itself but because of the worldwide pandemic, this election will be remembered for its historical outcome in nearly 100 years.

A New Normal
The pandemic has taught us that we need a federal program to contain and mitigate this pandemic. We need scientific experts to lead us and not a politician. That is on the ballot.
Another new normal, which is on the rise, primarily due to the pandemic, is the need for mail-in ballots to keep people safe and also to avoid machine tampering. This is good for the print industry and the election process.
We encourage everyone who can vote to vote.
The Net-Net
Voting is our constitutional right, and folks have fought and died for our right to vote. It's encouraging to see so many people come out for early voting, which is an indication that the country is becoming more involved in the political process. To that end, we celebrate all who are participating in the political process.
